Relay42 is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative (Dutch speaking) to join our Commercial department.

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for driving the revenue pipeline by creating qualified new business opportunities from outbound and inbound leads, as well as developing ongoing relationships with potential customers.

As a BDR at Relay42, your role will be to support the sales and business development efforts of the company. You'll work closely with the sales & marketing teams to play a crucial role in generating and cultivating leads, growing the pipeline, qualifying prospects, and initiating initial contact with potential customers. 

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales or business development, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for technology and innovation.

As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and building relationships with potential clients.

    • Qualify marketing-generated leads and nurture outbound prospects towards new business meetings.
    • Develop & qualify marketing leads from events, webinars, and content downloads into new sales opportunities.
    • Research and identify potential clients using various methods such as online articles, social media platforms, data sources, or industry events.
    • Proactively seek new business opportunities from within our target market by contacting potential customers through cold calls, emails, and social channels.
    • Ability to build effective/personalized outreach campaigns to consultatively engage with new potential clients.
    • Nurture a portfolio of existing prospects and contact potential clients, with the goal to drive new business opportunities.
    • Support the marketing team and drive attendance for physical events.
    • Identify and remove typical buying objections in prospect discussions.
    • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and Account Executives.
    • Coordinate and contribute in BDR huddles and attend sales meetings.
    • Report to the BDR Team Lead on your results.

Knowledge and experience: 

    • The ideal candidate should have 1 to 2 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Account Executive or similar role.
    • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls), preferably in a software/SaaS environment selling to enterprise prospects.
    • Track record of achieving sales quotas.
    • Experience with CRM & sales automation platforms (e.g. Salesforce, Hubspot).
    • Understanding of sales performance metrics.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Ability to deliver engaging presentations.
