Product Manager

Relay42 is looking for a product manager. Someone with experience in a product company and who is able to interact with the different teams to make sure we are aligned. Someone who has a clear understanding of a product roadmap and likes to work in our informal, smart, open and honest environment.

About the role?

As a product manager you will be responsible to manage the product roadmap for Relay42 in line with the company strategy. You will do this with a small team of product owners who you will manage / coach on their performance and personal development during the day to day activities. With that team you will become the bridge between business and product in which clear communication is key and you will align on what our priorities should be so that we can deliver a roadmap satisfying our stakeholders.


You will provide vision and direction to the development teams and stakeholders, optimize on our internal processes to deliver our roadmap more efficient towards the future. Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product and translate business requirements into a predictable roadmap items together with the development teams


Define product roadmap in line with company strategy (35%)

  • Contribute to strategic product decisions and translate them to the backlog
  • Monitor the market to understand users, partners and competitors
  • Plan incremental releases for major features and define minimum viable products
  • Act as a frontman of the Relay42 product to the organization and clients


Work with the development teams (35%)

  • Collaborate with the development teams to clarify requirements of business requests
  • Collaborate with the development teams to get input on estimations for planning/forecasting
  • Collaborate with the leads to improve on the process

Stakeholder management (20%)

  • Build up relationships with (key) stakeholders
  • Negotiate on priorities of the backlog items
  • Communicating expected delivery dates and changes in delivery
  • Clear communication around feature requests on what will and will not be delivered as part ofthe roadmap including the reasoning

Manage the product owner team (10%)

  • Manage a small team of product owner
  • Reporting on progress of team goals and KPIs
  • Identify and support the growth of talents, provide feedback and look after people’s personal development.
  • Active coaching and mentoring of your team members
  • Assess individual and team performance, recognize and promote excellent performance, and address under-performance.



  • Work experience as a product manager / owner
  • Experience with product organizations
  • Experience with prioritizing and handling multiple tasks with confidence and maturity
  • A can-do energetic attitude, with strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, able to apply different communication styles
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles 


  • Experience in organizations with a multicultural and diverse workforce
  • Experience in the Marketing Technology domain
  • Experience with the Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence)
  • Excellent ability to accurately forecast and qualify opportunities
  • Understanding of the online advertising industry/eco-system
