Senior Frontend Engineer

Your role:

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will design and develop UI modules in React that are reliable, scalable, and flexible to product innovations. In addition, you assure that the code quality is high and consistent. Your passion for technology makes you a true master in JS and creating the best look and feel, all with performance in mind. As part of the product development team, you love to address complex architectural problems with simple and intuitive design while communicating technical ideas and direction across the organisation. You will work on new projects such as Orchestration Engine or Cloud Data Connector, and you will be involved in improving the battle-tested parts of Relay42's Data Management Platform.

Your responsibilities:

Working on delivery of our product (90%)

• Ship high-quality, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code
• Craft code that meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices
• Code review the work of your teammates to ensure high code quality
• Participate in discussions about project architecture and technical feasibility, make decisions and justify your development approach

Being part of team development (10%)

• Participate in the feedback loop of our organization both in regards to giving and receiving feedback
• Share knowledge with your team members

What are we looking for?

Our ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience working in a professional product-driven environment. The candidate has previously designed infrastructure solutions for scalable, reliable, high availability, performance, security, software maintainability, and operational excellence. The candidate has deep understanding of architecture and foresees and anticipates on changes and is also a good communicator along the way. The candidate encourages knowledge sharing and has the ability to grow the team and possibly take the lead.

Expected

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience working with Core Javascript & UI frameworks/libraries.
• A solid understanding of core web and browser concepts
• Experience with React Ecosystem (Redux, Hooks)
• Experience with modern Javascript and Typescript
• Experience with CSS/SCSS, BEM notation
• Experience with unit and integration testing
• Experience with Version control systems (Git)
• Experience with Unix / Linux

Preferred

• Experience with the Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence)
• Experience in UI/UX
