Following Series-A investment, we have become a market leader in the Netherlands; and we are now connecting the rest of Europe.

Meet the team

You will join the product development team lead by Darko Zelić. As a progressive organisation, we invest a lot of time in improving our processes in addition to "just" working on the product and the infrastructure. As such, we've moved beyond the traditional rigid team structure and are working in flexible and scalable "circles" which encourage personal growth and give individuals more recognition for their achievements. Together, we decide where our architecture is going, and which technical developments will be integrated in our daily work. After a few years we want you to look back and be proud of the work you've done together with the team.

Your role:

As a Software Engineer you will be involved in designing and developing systems which are reliable, scalable and flexible to product innovations. You assure that the code quality is high and consistent. Your passion for technology makes you a true master in not only Java but also in Big Data technologies. As part of the product development team you love to address complex architectural problems with simple and intuitive design, while being able to communicate technical ideas and direction across the organisation. You will work on new projects such as Orchestration Engine or Cloud Data Connector and you will be involved in improving the battle-tested parts of the Relay42’s Data Management Platform

Your responsibilities:

  • Design and develop systems which are reliable and scalable
  • Ensure a high code quality and consistency
  • Address complex architectural problems with simple and intuitive design
  • Communicate technical ideas and direction across the organisation

What are we looking for?

Our ideal candidate has 4+ years of experience working in a professional product driven environment. The candidate is a true expert in Java but has also good knowledge of Cassandra, Kafka and/or Spark and can conduct technical conversations with engineers but also business. The candidate is passionate about high code quality and will be almost exclusively involved with back-end and infrastructural tasks but shouldn't be afraid when shown React.js. The candidate is known to evangelize best practices and knows how to properly introduce new technologies to an existing architecture. Furthermore, you take CI/CD pipelines and performance testing seriously and make sure that the piece of code is covered with unit and integration tests such as Selenium and Protractor testing.

What’s in it for you:
