Relay42 and The IDM Offer the UK’s First Data Management Platform (DMP) Certification

This DMP training will help marketers to achieve an actionable single customer view

London, 17 October 2016 – Relay42, the leading European data management platform (DMP) vendor, and the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing (IDM), are to work together on the UK’s first certified training course on using DMP technology. This technology is being adopted by UK enterprises to achieve an actionable single customer view and marketers need to adapt to keep up with this digital transformation. The goal is to enable marketers and analysts to develop a comprehensive understanding of DMP technology – and its practical application.  The course will take place at Garfield House on 21st October and will be delivered by Tomas Salfischberger, CEO and co-founder, and Matilda Kristoffersson,  Pre-sales Consultant, Relay42.  Participants who complete the course will receive certification from the IDM.

The course will cover every aspect of a DMP, including detailed information on the technology itself and its functionality, so that participants can evaluate the merits of various DMPs available.  Importantly, it will also cover policy around privacy and the legal implications of orchestrating consumer data using a DMP.  As European data privacy regulations evolve it will be critically important for marketers to ensure the right checks and balances are in place.  Additionally, participants will complete the course able to define a strategy and roadmap for the adoption of a DMP and have a clear understanding of the organisational impact of moving to this technology. Ultimately a DMP enables marketers to integrate information into a single view of the customer, demanding greater collaboration between individual teams and functions.

“There are many considerations for marketers when adopting a DMP.  While the implementation can be very straight forward, without the right preparation and approach it can be complex,” explained Tomas Salfischberger, CEO and co-founder, Relay42.  “This is why we are delighted to be working with the IDM to deliver this training course.  It will provide the first comprehensive insight into every aspect of using a data management platform.  Participants will leave this course confident they can approach and prepare for a DMP, which will add value to their marketing strategy and enable them to build an even more effective team.”

The IDM exists to support, encourage and improve marketing performance with development programmes to help marketers at every stage of their career.  For over 25 years, it has been the organisation’s mission to provide best-in-class training, qualifications, events, resources and membership services to meet the real-world needs of today’s digital, direct and data marketers.  This course with Relay42 is no exception to the IDM’s high standards of quality training courses.

“In an increasingly connected world, every interaction between a brand and customer creates a piece of insight that can be used to inform future marketing decisions,”  added Jane Cave, Managing Director at the IDM.  “The range of channels and technologies now available to data-driven marketers can make creating a truly single customer view challenging to say the least. That’s why we’re excited to partner with Relay42 to help marketers understand the power of a good data management platform and how to use this technology effectively. By the end of the course, students will walk away with the data management knowledge they need and the ability to truly harness the power of their business’s data.”
