Legal & Compliance Intern

The Legal & Compliance Intern will be responsible for supporting all the legal and compliance functions within Relay42.  This is a great opportunity for a law student to learn by doing and to experience the life of a high-growth international technology company; always with a focus on personal development.

Critical results

  • Support in improving our Compliance framework, with a particular focus on data protection
  • Assist with day-to-day legal operations


  • Monitor changes in applicable laws (i.e. data protection, AI, etc.)
  • Create awareness in relation to data protection and security
  • Help with suppliers’ reviews
  • Support operational compliance with company Certifications (i.e. ISO 27001)
  • Perform internal audits
  • Support Privacy Impact Assessment
  • Review and draft IT contracts with Customers and Suppliers

Knowledge & Experience

  • Legal background
  • Good knowledge and understanding of EU Data Protection laws
  • Ability to draft basic contractual clauses preferred
  • Good with Microsoft Office 365 package

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate is currently attending a study in The Netherlands and is available for at least 4 months (as of September 01st) for 32 hours a week. He/she is curious with a genuine willingness to learn, is proactive with strong attention to detail, has a creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements, and is investigative. Excellent communication skills in English are essential as you will be dealing with a variety of people in this role.
